Domestic violence it not a joking matter. But then again, you are a pollidge chucker.
^ Says the man who makes so many brilliant, witty and incisive comments here.
In his own mind......
The old boy does seem to have finally pickled himself in other's vinegar strokes.
Electrical storm directly over our house today. Had enough warning (visual) to pull every plug, get dogs in, and watch with cold beer. Just as well, ground lightning striking very close, like light and sound almost simultaneous, and incredibly loud. Wondering about watering the garden this morning and now it's flooded. I love and hate these storms.
They decided to concrete the road outside our house. Started this morning with a leveller, then chucked on some sand...then it rained and rained and rained. It's a quagmire outside right now.
^ one of the things i love about the tropics is sitting with a cold one watching a proper storm, not a typhoon though.
My moan is painting, i fooking hate it. Using a roller is great but cleaning the thing after pisses me off, takes ages. I have taken to wrapping the roller in cling film for the next coat the following day and even the day after - then it goes in the bin because see first sentence.
Took a while to get home this time...drive + flight + wait + flight + wait + flight + coach + bus took around 36 hours. I managed about 5 hours sleep during that period and was just a little red-eye when I got home. Damn router had died when I got back, took a while to trace problem and set up a replacement. My word, red wine tastes so much better here than Thailand.
Yep... it was back to bladdy school today...
Last night we realised that 3 months of lock down hasn't done my daughter any favours (nor me for that matter) and she couldn't fit into any of her school uniform. Complete new sets needed (normal and PE) and there's only two weeks of school until end of term.
I arrived at school very early as there was no traffic (government schools shut). Due to strict new admittance times for different classes for social distancing I had to wait in a car park for half an hour before dropping the kids off.
Time to drop them... and a flat battery. Walked them in, and then had to wait an hour for the gardener to come and give me a jump start.
And 2500 Baht spent on a new battery by the time I eventually got home.
I think I preferred online lessons.
^ Mendip, your daughter is still growing...erm but you are just winterising, preparing for a return to the north sea.
Does the school own that monstrosity that's growing to the side.
^ Kind words... I'll take that.
I imagine that 'monstrosity' will be yet more apartments/condos and nothing to do with the school.
Korat is going at an astronomical rate just now... all the land in the pic was undeveloped maybe four years ago.
To the left (behind the white and grey apartments) is a huge new condo development.
^ The school is brand new as well mate, finished building and opened maybe two years ago. The whole area has been a building site for years now.
Rumours are that one old Korat family owned all the land and must have made an absolute fortune.
I fucked up in Bangkok for one year not realising there was a school behind the condo. It was on school holidays when I signed the contract.
The noise those fukkin kids make at break times. Saw a lot of bullying in there too, from the prefects.
You'd have to be retarded to buy one of those condos.
I thought it was a car park or maybe a university.
I received 3 brown envelopes fro UK recently. All gov.uk initiated. DWP replied to my letter of 20 Feb 2020. Marked priority post, it landed on my doorstep yesterday. It was dated 25 March. They do not accept replies by email. FFS
I sent them my birth certificate in July last year, and it’s still not been returned.
I sent my original birth, marriage and divorce certificates to the UK gov back in February because the form clearly stated that original documents must be supplied. (FFS why? These are public records and you are the government.) The package never reached them, I found out later that the EMS tracking lost it at Suvanabhumi.
So I sent a replacement package in May with a letter explaining why there were copies attached. Then I discovered at the post office - and this might have been your problem - that there was no airmail service to or from UK, due to Covid. So I had to reroute my package to a friend in Hong Kong who sent it on to the UK.
When the process was finished, about GBP100 in postal charges and the same again for replacement certificates later, I received a friendly, handwritten note from a government employee to say all was fine, they don't need original certificates anyway.
WTF?
Quelle surprise,
Thread: Daily Moan
and you're boring
You like domestic violence, you think it's funny?
Two creative statements in a single brief sentence, well done, closet snowflake.
I am fortunate indeed, that I started my two recent “snail mail” campaigns before c19 measures were in place. July 2019 for state pension application, and early February 2020 for a simple change of address notification.
I used the EMS to be signed for, system, which is expensive but more effective.
UK government departments seem to have developed incommunicado bubbles to protect them from customers, and from making simple decisions. Lazy and incompetent civil servants. Never was a job title more ironic.
