Are you sure the big 3 means it's three ply toilet paper, BiP? Or just 3 times longer than "standard" length?

Unfortunately for me when she said to get the green pack it didn't occur to me that there might be more than one shade of green in use. I got the light green...a piss-pour two ply as it turns out, she wanted the darker green, a way better quality three ply. Well I was admonished and made to get the right one on the next shopping trip. But then I'm informed I would need to use the two ply pack. It has taken a while and finally I am about to load the final roll. It has been a trying experience. I'm not known for my light physical touch and despite my best and improving efforts, there have been many break-throughs. If I'd been a nail biter previously, I would not be now. Along the way the wife tossed me near empty rolls of the good stuff. I should have been grateful but it truth it just served to depress when I would glance up onto the shelf and see how many of the two ply were still there. It was such a good feeling last week to buy my own three ply 24 pack and set it on the shelf in pride of place. Life in upper Nan province doesn't thrown one many thrills; you have to take what you can get.

I hope you realise the error of your ways, or stupidity whichever is correct.
If you had folded the 2 ply over double it would have become 4 ply and no problem, it would have also halved the time taken to use it all.

Got myself registered for the vaccine for mid July.

Couldn't get the missus done in time before all appointments were booked out.

Yea, he's doing that with me all over the board as well - Dopey-Chav is trying his best to be 'relevant', which he is isn't. The most beige of beige humans . . . and thick . . . why he doesn't keep it in the DH . . .

My mistake I didn't realise the main criteria was that it had to be 3 ply I thought he just wanted it thick enough to stop his finger going through so he could go back to chewing his fingernails if he wanted.

I made the assumption that he had 2 problems, first was the thickness of the toilet tissue and the second the time it took him to use it all, so my solution fixed both those issues.

One of the things that made my twice annual trip to the Pua motor transport office slightly bearable was to sit and relax in the car park in the shade of a magnificent stand of trees while the wife sorted the rego and insurance. This morning the ambience was slightly lacking. Perhaps the trees were getting to end of life but surely cutting half now and replacing with some advanced new trees and maybe doing the other half in a couple of years. Twelve mature trees just gone.

They really are insane fuckers over trees. They cut those things down at the drop of a hat. Someone I used to know thought that Thais had a tree inferiority complex.

But yes, it's not just Thailand. I think the only country that has an inkling about trees and their maintenance and value to the quality of life is Singapore

Agree on that. Singapore puts a lot of efforts into its tree management.

Did you ask why they were cut down?

    Without knowing why ....

Let's just winge and project some negative stereotypes shall we?

In a tropical country covered with trees, there are reasons to cut down trees, can't you think of any?
