That's hard but you are lucky to have kept together for 1/2 a Century and well done for fronting up. Call me careless but i had a purple patch in my mid 20s where i lost 4 out of 5 of mine to accidents and careless life experiments.
Ironically when in the first year in secondary school the headmaster came in the classroom and asked for a volunteer to take a new boy under their wing show him the ropes and also be a friend outside school because he was coming back to the UK from Singapore as his dad was in the raf based out there .
I shot my hand up , not because I am a good Samaratins person but saw a way of getting out the class room for an hour or so showing him round , anyway we soon became good mates I also got another one put in my charge about 2 months later , all 3 of us were a bloody nightmare lol

we’ve been through much the same both married twice brought up two families etc ,, infact he was my last best man over 12 years ago bless him ,, its a very very sad situation and we are doing our best to keep him at home from full time care
