Either I've got a setting wrong, the 'Not able to post attachments' is screwing things up or I'm being a complete tw*t. Past experience leads me to think it is the last of the three.

Anyway here we have the old coconut seller, this guy is obviously not doing so well as he has a push cart, I have to admit I haven't eaten a coconut in several years and miss the great big ones we used to get in the UK with loads of meat inside.
Many years ago there used to be this coconut seller that used to sell coconuts for 10baht and 100baht, the differance was for 100baht he would chop them open with a great big cleaver while holding the coconut in his left hand, easy I hear you say, well this guy done it blind folded, I haven't seen him about for many years so he either retired a very rich man, or bleed out in front of a load of tourists, wish I got a pic of that
And for the French here, here is Dougals pic of his frog lunch
The dead animal foodstall is quite a popular choice among the locals.
I really can't remember what this one is, I was pretty pissed by this time.
This one is easy and the health freaks love it.
It's the Som Tam stall isn't it?Originally Posted by dirtydog
Here's a dried squid and bbq stall I saw last night, now doesn't that look delicious
And here was his neighbour the pineapple seller.
after seeing those pics I think I'll be going vegetarian when I arrive in Thailand.
You'd need a stomach of steel to not get poisoned by some of that shit!
Watch out for the preservative chemicals in the dried squid. Made my kids faces swell up twice time a few years ago.
FF agree with u here big time! add some fresh cucumber and/or cabbage - go silly boys!Originally Posted by friscofrankie

Was a muslim guy n Rmakamhaeng used to sell a beef version. Man that was good eatin!! Two, or three, sticks of that, bag o' veggies, an extra handful of chillies, five baht of sticky rice. Good nam is hard to come by up here.
Naem you mean the pickled sausage stuff?? My wife swears by the kind up in CX mate, whats up. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
Most the suff up here is cut with way too much skin I'm not fond of skin unless it's fried. Give me good ol' Isaan Nam any day.
Well, I just had Fish & Chips. You can keep your rotting meat products.
Was in Rayong for SK one year they handed me a meat salad. Wierd texture but tasty. The meat not so. Raw pork salad. if I'm gonna eat raw pork, I wanna make sure it's well rotted thank you.
They make a fish sausage up here you might enjoy with your chips. We could have some battered nd fried if you like
I had some good fish fingers in the Bull's Head a month or so ago. Done in a nice tempura batter they were. Mmmm yummy.Originally Posted by friscofrankie
Now imagine those fermented for about a week or so...
I'd rather not, mate.Originally Posted by friscofrankie
I agree with Marmite. I like a lot of thai food stuff, but to eat anything rotten does not seem to be a good idea.
Hmm beeer's fermented (rotten) grains flavored with hopps
Wine's just rotten grape juice.

Ah, hell, i'll bet there's more.
