this is obviously the strange bastard mutual wank tank.
I'll stay out of this thread from now on.
hmmmm, what to do with this thread? clean it up with some posts deleted? lock it?
Move to 'members only'?
I'll do another thread later with better piccies when I'll get some bits from an anonymous dog in. Should be less controversial.
I really cant believe that I am even thinking of moving a cooking thread into members only, unbelieveable....
Maybe issues would be more appropiate
I must say, I'm glad we're on to 'ball licking' now. The thread is showing promise.
For those of you who are posting here without bothering to read the OP I would like to clarify that Stroller did not kill his dog.
The dog was misbehaved and so he SOLD it for 300 baht.
The new owner subsequently gave him some meat and he cooked it.
Frankenstein likes veggies.
I thought he meant he eats vegetariansOriginally Posted by keda
Buddhists take the view that the act of slaughter is harmful, not the eating of meat which someone else has killed. We may have a secret convert in our midst.
Why do you persist in calling it his "pet" ?Originally Posted by KID
It was obviously not his pet.
Fabers: we know you're a european, so just thought I'd let you know that we new zealanders / kiwis ...oh not that one...Originally Posted by Fabian
what I meant to say was that "sheep" is one of the nouns in English which is both singular and plural, the same as "deer"...
It's not a secret, Buddhism is one of the things which attracted me to Thailand, but that's another story.Originally Posted by keda
You have a point there, the actual act of slaughter is more 'harmful' than the thought, furthering the event or consumption of the meat - which is the least harmful contrary to what some here believe.
Still, I played a central role in the fate of this dog, and created karma=future suffering for myself. This is, to some extent, balanced by the fact that I made a decision based on my conscience and good judgement, i.e. my aim was to prevent the dog from killing more chickens (he'd 'done' 11 in the vicinity up to then) and creating disharmony with the neighbours.
I'm in absolute agreement about that, especially done in a nice casserole.Originally Posted by RDN

If you eat meat, you kill to live and it is as simple as that.
Dog meat is amongst my least favourite meats, although i have tried it.
In the south of China they do this soup which is quite tasty and should add some spice to this thread.
Witnessing the cat being killed and skinned was a bit much for me, even though it was done on my honour. Old white cats are the best, the most expensive and guess who was paying.
The snake was pre prepared, and chickens are everywhere.
It was a tasty soup, but more of a Winter thing- they don't eat this in the hot times because apparently snake, dog and cat 'warm' your body. The Chinese are very conscious of this sort of thing.
It was delicious though, and if my cat keeps killing my lawn with it's shit I will not rule out this option.
Stroll
I saw your dog cooking thread on ThaiVisa about an hour ago. When I went back to look it had been erased. How long did it last ?
Who could have stolen the dog eating thread.
I can't imagine stroll would have done it.
^I think I can guess
Yeah, someone else seems rather 'obsessed' with the theme...Originally Posted by ChiangMai noon
