allowance period for opening business ?

    Hi,

Is there any allowance or temporary authorization to work during the time needed to get the license for local office ?

I mean I've been granted a contract as consultant for a Thai company, I have to open a local office but I also have to start my work in Thailand as soon as possible.

    Thanks for any advise/si;ilar experience

Not sure I totally understand this. Who will be giving you the work permit - the company that has hired you or the local office that you have to open? IE, are the Thai company employing you or the local office?

If it is the Thai company applying for the WP (to employ you), then this should be doable before or shortly after you start work. If it is the local office that you are opening (who will employ you), then it will be longer as you will not be able to apply for the WP until the local office is open. But even here, it shouldn't take too long to open the office.
