I'm just about to get my first 1 year WP. I gather I have 6 months to bring in some household goods duty free.
Anyone know the details? Can I include a used motorcycle and autoparts? hehehe!

Damn Earl, I have had a WP for 16 years and never knew that!!!
Know some folks that brought in tools and MC parts. As discussed in the other thread one dude brought in a complete bike broke down in major component parts (i.e. motor, frame, trans, F.E., wheels & box of "stuff") in the "Houshold goods" shipment.
Stated there was "no problem." For friend of mine; Snapon toolbox, tools and shop equipment was "No Problem"
Earl:
Yes you can. However, there is a monetary value - I'll need to check in the office in the a.m. - and, importantly, you need to choose your port of entry carefully (otherwise you could be paying a fee). Finally, anything you do bring in cannot be sold. Otherwise you'll be taxed import tax on those goods you do sell.
Finally, if you bring in a car or motorcycle, you'll need to register the vehicle here.
Actually, the most knowledgeable person I know on this issue is Dirty Dog, so maybe you should PM him.
Congratulations, Mr. Earl! A round of drinks for your old friends at a choice location is in order.
Thanks, yes drinks @the "romance bar" Thanon Sawadirak, patong beach. Anytime except this weekend. (I'll be in KL).Originally Posted by stroller
Is the 6 month rule from the date of the visa of from the date of entry to the country?
