^ In theory, all you need to do is produce tax receipts for the last year showing at least 40K a month earned. They can be in your wifes name.

I don't think they will extend a B unless you have a WP
I think you will have to convert to a an O first and then extend

BTW I had problems with CM but found Nan a pleasure to deal with

Thanks gerbil and thetyim, so receipts for 40k for the year, wow thought it was just 3 months!

so will it be easy to change b to an o and will i be able to get a wp on an o,some people tell me no?

sounds like might be worth going to Nan then, guess its at the border crossing, any ideas on what paperwork i need etc to change b to an o etc etc or the tel no for Nan

thanks again, i am really worried about this!

    this is the basic rules

I was thinking of 7/10 would be of help if you had kids and paying for the education but you need 500,000ThB in the bank

otherwise all you need to do is produce tax receipts for the last year showing at least 40K a month earned either by yourself, your wife or a combination of earnings between your wife and yourself.

It's not on the border, it is just north of Nan on the H1080 opposite the airport

They'll do that automatically if the extension is applied for and 'B' is no longer applicable, but 'O' is. A mate of mine left his job earlier this year, so he had his WP and 'B' cancelled and given a few days to leave the country. All he had to do was file for a 12 month extension based on marriage and they converted the 'reason for permission to stay' to that on the spot (he didnt have to leave the country) - still had to go through the usual paperwork however.

What paperwork did he need to show? ie. what did he show for income?

Do you have income coming in from the UK or overseas? If not it will have to be in your wifes name and pay tax on it. (40k per month)

I work for a UK company and they pay my money into mine and my wifes joint account. My company wrote a letter saying what I earned each month (it goes up and down as is commission based), I then had to take it the British Embassy, with my bank book, they wrote me a letter confirming my earnings (and charged a bloody fortune for this said letter 2,000 + baht). This letter will prove income from overseas. I did not show any tax payments as I needed a non o to get a tax account. I now have to show that I pay tax here.

The tax office wanted a work permit but after the wife explained I don't need one as working for UK company they gave me a tax number.

The first time you apply for a non o you can just show the income amount letter from your embassy, and then the next time show you paid tax on it. That's what I had to do.

I got a tax ID card without showing a visa. Just told them I'd rather pay tax here on my UK earnings.

i have income coming from overseas, some into wifes bank acc some into mine and some into wifes acc via paypal
will it be easier just to go to accouinting comp and get them to do the paperwork to show that wife has piad tax on 40000 a month for last year?
the embassy really likes to charge alot of dosh for any bit of paperwork and if i odnt have proof of 40000 coming in every month they are not going to invent it!?

Dunno I'm afraid. Think he used his wifes income as she's in a pretty well paid job.
