One saying I've heard a Thai say is 'Mai Dang Mai Arroy' These wild super hot sauces marketed with funny Thai names might take off one day. You have to look at beer as a reflection of Thai society. Not many choices there and people don't seem to care. Guess this might also be a reflection of societies. In another thread the idea came up of westerners being wealthy and unhappy and Thais being basically poor and content. So, maybe crazy hot sauces won't take off until Thais are bored with their repetitive lives. I wouldn't doubt that there are more versions of Thai-style hot sauces in the US these days than there are here. I've always believed that westerners will one day create a very popular Thai fast food restaurant in the west and bring it to Thailand where it will again be popular like so many fast food restaurants. Being a westerner you have a good chance of success looking at some ways of the Thai.
