    Business set up

KK, I've got a couple of question with regards to setting up a pub in Pattaya.

What are the requirements and how much, approximately, is required as an initial investment?

    Thanx.

Wouldn't suprise me, Ken is a really smart guy. Nonetheless, don't you think you would be better off getting some professional advice?

No need just steam into any pub and say you're taking over and that if they fuck with you you'll set Mohammed on them.

    That should do it mate!

To be fair Macha while I don't particularly like you.....setting up a pub in Pattaya....well let's say there are easy ways to lose all your money (i.e. give it to me).

Why are you a fucking retard?

    1) You have no interest in opening a pub in Pattaya.

    2) With all due respect KK is not the first person to ask with regards to opening a pub in Pattaya.

    3) Your painful attempts at trolling in this forum are slowly dominating proceedings here. You are not wanted here. You are prolly not wanted anywhere.

    4) You are the Pakistani 'Smeg'

    That will do for starters!

I normally don't post in this section but if ever I do, it really means business. I'm very serious about setting up a business, pub to be specific, in Pattaya. My brother in law's about to come over early next year to see if it's feasible to set up a business.

If I had gotten any information on the subject, I'd have sent it to my brother in law but alas I didn't get anything but only rants.

So your b-i-l wants to come over to Pattaya and open a bar. Nice one. I suggest he have a serious chat with the likes of 'Dave' and DD about doing business in Pattaya.

But just so he doesn't look a complete twat, get him to do some background reading here:

I do hope he has lots of money

I'd definitely arrange meeting with DD, if it's ok with him. I really don't know Dave so meeting with him is out of question, I guess.

Thank you very much for the link, William. I appreciate it.

    P.S: Poolie, I never trolled.

The dog was saying that it would cost around baht 1 million plus stock, wages etc etc.
It really depends on what exactly you wanna do.

I have done it before and the best advice I can offer is that unless you know and trust the ppl you are dealing with really really well (ie, suppliers, staff, police) you may as well use the money to have a nice holiday.

I really wanted to ask these questions but my initial post was badly torn apart somehow. I know for a fact that authorities would always interupt if there ain't reasonable kickbacks.

I've got loads of questions but can only ask if some of the BMs believe in what I'm saying. They think I'm trolling.

    Thanks!

Mate to get anything worth having you're going to have to pay bucks IMO to get an established place as the little ones are just an excuse to lose money from (a lot of our lot have had bars in Samui, Pattaya etc. I don't think anyone has been successful yet).

You're very serious about setting up a business so the first person you ask is KK.
    Your sworn enemy.
Shit you must be some kind of God KK.

I'm thinking about growing turnips on a major scale KK what info can you give me.
Which part of Thailand is most suitable?
Which variety of turnip will give me best yield?
What a the major pest problems I'll have to overcome?
What is the optimum storage life?
What's the best method of packaging and transportation?

Actually I'm only trolling and yet I've made a far more convincing effort than Macha.

No you weren't trolling Macha, of course not.
    You're just a total fuckwit!

I don't think most people like turnips.

Anyway getting back on topic davethailand has a bar and it's supposedly extremely successful, and thats without having rental gals, obviously not having rentals there I have never been.

^ But that's the thing isn't. It's hard to buy a cheap successful bar, generally you buy a so so bar and hope you can make it successful...therein lies the problem.

That's what I've been discussing with my b-i-l. We can invest b/w 3 - 4M Baht. IMO we will be successful in securing a place at good location, beach road or walking street, with this much of investment but we ain't sure about the legal requirements and the ways to deal with the authorities.

I'm very keen to find out more on this and I'll appreciate everyone's input.
