I have a passing knowledge of them - an english friend from many years back works for them as marketing manager. They seem to build good quality houses in CM. I haven't heard anything bad about them but you should always do due diligence etc

Thanks Simon - you definitely have the right company (CM).

Anyone else has experience or know anything about them?

As stated above. I'm looking to build a house... I was wondering if they would be a good choice for architectural work and construction.

    I can speak Thai.

I could transport him over to where I need him to be if it's agreeable with him and his crew. Does he do architectural work and interior as well? Could you please email me his contacts?

    Thanks

When I asked Kensington if they could design and build me a 5 million Baht house they replied that my project was too small for them and that I should look elsewhere.

fredlk, where did you end up looking? If you were satisfied, could you post their contacts?

    Fred,

You don't happen to have a consolidated excel or something of all your expenses do you?

    That would be real convenient!!!!

I do, with every single expense listed on it, but it also lists the price of the land as well as the project manager's salary and I prefer not to publicise those items.
Every single Baht spent, I mentioned as it happened, there in the pages.

    I've sent you an email.
My costs are very specific and for this house only and on this site.
If you build on the flat you might not need the 67 piles for 480,000 Baht. If you have municipal water you won't need a 80,000 Baht borehole.
    Etcetera.

Is it possible to build a house in Thailand without piles? We do it here all the time in the US. Why do you need the piles?

Most houses are built without piles but our ground was sandy and on the slopes of a 200-metre high hill. With the possibility of landslides in the future it seemed wiser. It was my own decision.

almost all houses in Thailand do not use piles

sometimes they are needed if building in an area that has deep unconsolidated earth, or on possibly unstable slopes (as in this case)
