Thanks for this great thread to those people who took the time to post photos. They are really incredible.

Do Thai people say they like these places because they really like them, or because they are trained to not say negative things?

Another blender mixture of styles. At least four different types of wall facings (there are some different ones in a part you can't see. Contrasting decorative reliefs adjacent to each other, a crude attempt at traditional Thai carving .............aaaaaargh.

I really like the basic structure / layout though. You're probably right that some of the final finishings are a bit goofy, but it's not beyond help.

I'm with WLL on that one - they have gone overboard with the number of variations but I think the idea isn't bad. Different certainly.

I agree of course that the Colour Schemes seen here, are awful. But it's the UNPAINTED places that really upset me.........

Actually, the inside would be a great office... except for the bed that is!

The basic design of the house is fine, but the interior is way to modern for my taste.

Well if you've got the money to buy a place like that, you've got the money to change some of the colour schemes.
The mauve exterior and the red bedroom would definitely have to go.

35 million baht, now that's a bargain considered how much you have to add for redecoration.

^ I understand from those who have been inside (post # 106) that the interior is similar in concept to the outside, but in wood. As one viewer put it looks like he decorated from a job lot of wood samples that he'd bought'.

^ He might have! A friend who used to be in the import/export business once met a Chinese fellow who boasted that he had built his entire house out of free samples!
