When were you in Vientiane, Dougal?
Thanks for this great thread to those people who took the time to post photos. They are really incredible.
Do Thai people say they like these places because they really like them, or because they are trained to not say negative things?
Or because they've been trained not to think....Originally Posted by ILoveDogs

Where are the Welsh arsonists when you need them?
Lord, deliver us from e-mail.
I really like the basic structure / layout though. You're probably right that some of the final finishings are a bit goofy, but it's not beyond help.
I'm with WLL on that one - they have gone overboard with the number of variations but I think the idea isn't bad. Different certainly.Originally Posted by WhiteLotusLane
Nice house above ,but a pity about the colors.
I agree of course that the Colour Schemes seen here, are awful. But it's the UNPAINTED places that really upset me.........

That place is great!
I was going to make a comment, but actually, I'm speechless!
I think it's awesome.
Ok, I'm a pimp, but I still think it's awesome.
Actually, the inside would be a great office... except for the bed that is!
The basic design of the house is fine, but the interior is way to modern for my taste.
Well if you've got the money to buy a place like that, you've got the money to change some of the colour schemes.
The mauve exterior and the red bedroom would definitely have to go.
Whadda mean - looks as though your office is the bath tubOriginally Posted by qwerty

This is a cool superfly crib!
Imagine the fking parties he had back when that was considered modern. Fk'nA!
35 million baht, now that's a bargain considered how much you have to add for redecoration.
I think it looks like a patchwork quilt. Terrible.Originally Posted by AntRobertson

^ He might have! A friend who used to be in the import/export business once met a Chinese fellow who boasted that he had built his entire house out of free samples!
