Lot of square meters.. but small use

    Hello.
In your plans it seems that most important is many square meters but bad use of them. I would not like to get a house of that size where the visitor just runs in to my livingroom kitchen or what that thing shall be called... i like strangers to have to wait in entrance hall.... AND one more thing.. what the hell is the use of rooms without windows, if its not a store room of 2 square meters..??

Yeah Maily... who do you think you are forgetting about esthiuh's expectations when designing your house?

    Room without windows... Storeroom no.

Darkroom? Tilac's dominatrix suite? In house vault? The cask of Amontillado? Use your fucking imagination estrollkin.

You are 1000% correct DeckApe, how could I have even considered the design of our house without first consulting with this dope, estrollkin.
He may want small rooms and hallways, we did not, we measured the rooms of existing homes that were fully furnished and that is the sizes we came up with. We have a large group of friends and family, that is why the kitchen area is that size, and as for the pool room area with no windows, I would have thought that someone who is such an expert (drip under pressure) would think that large skylites would be more than enough to ensure there is enough light in the room. But I will be sure to first consult with Estrollkin if there are any design changes, I would not like to upset him in any way.

Looks like a nice home Maily - just one little tip I thought I should pass on - most of you have noticed that many Thai bathrooms have a very bad sewer smell coming from hand basins, bath outlets etc after use.
Whilst in Udon Thani recently my UK friend Mike who is a specialist in sewage treatment showed me the problem in his newly built home that he had spent the day correcting.
It seems Thai plumbers have no idea what the U bend fitting is supposd to do and disregard ( throw away) the supplied fitting and just let the drain go straight into the septic or sewerage system with no water lock seal to suppress odours.
Strongly suggest you sort this out with your plumber before payment is made - and Oh! while your about it why not get a shower screen closet fitted and avoid the certainty of crippling falls on permanently wet slippery floors and soaked tiolet tissue that is usual with Thai "spray everything" style of bathroom construction?

Thanks Thaiguy. I will ensure that the plumbing is as you have described. I remember living in a unit many years ago and there was the exact smell you have decsribed, that may have been the problem, no "U" bends in basin.
