    Do you have a background in building? I'm a plumber, my dad's a builder with a lot of experience in design. He will be over in July, so I'll be having him come up with the basic design.

    Even though I've been around building since I was a kid, I find the doing my own place quite daunting. So I'm impressed by how well so many ppl are doing with their own places.

    If it had been left to me, it would have been a spectacular disaster for sure.

    thais impress me in that they can turn their hand toi just about anything manual.

    they just need some supervision otherwise they do tend to do things the way they see fit.

    i was lucky that my wife was on site about 90% of the time and that she is far more clued up than me about everything from concrete mix to tiling.
