There a few types of expanding foam and one of them is made just for this purpose. If you use the type in the woman's hair it may distort the window frame enough that you wont be able to open the window or make it very hard to open. I know from my own mistake on this issue.

^ Either way I don't think Thais are proficient in using expanding foam so they've pointed up up in cement mortar. They've finished now and I'm happy with the result. I recommend to all who consider a window change to look to uPVC. Also be part of the of the installation as I find Thais like to take short cuts if you ain't watching.

Nice one mate , a sensible upgrade .

I'm all for maintenance free additions to the home . Any form of wood windows are a pain in the arse as far as I am concerned when it comes to decorating inside + out all that bloody rubbing down + priming ,, lives too short!

I'm still living in Maryland and I always see these windows in the Habitat For Humanity Restore new and used for sale at unbeatable prices. I may have to start buying these a few at time and put them in our shipment. Build the house around the windows we bring with us.

I live in a glass house. I dont throw stones at my neighbor. However Im always thinking security. Not so much were I live but a the MILs. I was told after we left last time someone came calling in the night. Thinking we had left some cash with MIL i guess. They did not enter the house but tried the front door. MIL and cousin scared them off. Could have been the drunken guy down the road.

I will be looking to get some form of grills. The master plan is the big ass brick wall. Sucks but it is what it is. I know here I've got it good. Desperate people do desperate things. Lucky my neighbor looks to have more crap than me. Though one of his steer tried to jack my siding. T111 is pretty tough.

Fishlocker, you should have one of these. It's a gas gun and as realistic as one could be. It fires 6mm BB's and mine cost me 4,000 Baht from a rural market. The soi dogs can varify it fcuking hurts when getting hit.

Thats cool. Mabey get one for Mil. But not shure it would be her 1st choice. I was told she went fot the machete when the creeper tried the door.

She yelled something to the effect of, I got a big ass knife and will use it on you if you come through that door. The creeper left in a hurry after that.

If anyone tries to get at my MiL then I'd take pity on him as obviously he's not of sound mind.
