It's not up to the requisite 10 pages yet Nev, can't start a wasp construction thread within 10 pages, gotta have some controversy and some banter!!!

... and suddenly the world seemed a slightly less colourful place
Wasp, I know there's a lot of passion tied up in your threads, it's part of what makes them so enjoyable and readable for the many who follow them.
There are times when the things people post may not be read in the spirit that they were meant. Put it down to getting carried away in the moment or sloppy penmanship. I know I've often re-read my posts and thought that they could have been easily misinterpreted - arguably the misinterpretation could actually have improved many of them.
The thing is that this thread is a journey that you are sharing. From the perspective of the readers and other posters it is a relatively light-hearted, whimsical ramble of what-ifs that, like with bar-room banter, tend to get a few perhaps 'out of left-field' remarks dropped in from time to time. As with bar-room banter one can choose either to ignore it, to stand up and fight or to leave the room.
If this journey is a deeply personal one for you then I agree that you should stop the thread, TD is really just a vehicle for lighthearted escapism and what people say on it should not affect one personally.
I for one and, I expect in this part at least, probably speak for many others in hoping that you will continue the thread by simply ignoring the posts you either dislike or disagree with.
This post is directed at you Wasp, and so only you will know when you've read it. Its on this understanding that I therefore leave you with a small and inconsequential dilemma
Ignoring this post because you disagree with it will show you are taking the advice I've given, in which case I hope you will restart your thread.
Responding to the post would I think be an acknowledgement that you still have an interest in the journey, even if it's just checking the thread from time to time, and if that interest is there then why not continue with it?

Oh, come on Wasp, you know the majority of us love reading your witty repartee. You do write some of the most interesting stuff on the TD site mate.
Wasp - just do it!
Then accept applause & 5 star rating.
I am a no star man - zero! Nobody likes me - Annie get that gun NOW!
I agree with the guys above (^, ^^, ^^^). Hell, I didn't say anything, because I thought you were just kidding.
Indeed Roobarb! Excellent well thought out post. Sorry about the headache, try not to over do colours although Tylenol has been known to help.
Wasp is able to amass in a very short time, to date 2,398 views, 159 comments with three stars, getting one possibly two at an early stage by commenting about the meaning of stars.
None the less facts speak for themselves.
Many poster offer comments with most I feel genuinely trying to help. Yourself with what I thought a good compromise considering dimension restrictions on the land, some others possibly not so much but that being the nature of open forms.
Keeping a building thread going is difficult with humour I’m sure doubly so. There are forty-one pages of construction builds with very few attaining three stars so I’m not sure how this one could be classed as average not that that really matters in the scheme of things. That said it would be amiss for “not really a building thread” too just die for what may or nay not even be unpleasant comments hopefully that is not the way this one is heading.
Wasp...Say it ain't so...This thread is brilliant and you gotta keep it going, man (insect)...
Really like your style...And the crowd of BB's here will miss you...And the goats, too...
Hi Wasp,
Keep it going, just post what you want, like your style, as well.
Try for 100 pages without, a build, gives us all idea's.
Again, I agree with the guys above (^, ^^, ^^^). Hell, I still think you're just kidding.
You are missed

Tell me Billiam ....... what do you think is the situation with a wall being one metre away but frosted glass windows ?Would that meet the requirements ?
Or those glass bricks you see in bathrooms ..... letting in light but you can't see your neighbours as they strangle their ducks ?
Wasp
Nice to see u back in the thread
I'll not comment any building regulations
6kon
Welcome back, Wasp...Now, all we have to do is summon Betty from the desert...
Thank you BB .............. and 6kon.
A Quieter Wasp
.
.
But can anybody say ?
Would a one metre space and the use of opaque glass be acceptable so you are getting light without overlooking those cutesy little Thainese neighbours as they set about spitting out betel juices and planning to maybe visit Nakhon NikNik's night market for Papaya Pok Pok ?
SarcyWasp
Yay! Waspy's back! TD is starting to come alive again!
If you look at my place we got no permissions and I think one wall is about 1 m from the border. But no one cares in the sticks!
We were granted official permission to build our house when it was nearly finished. The local building "inspector" didn't even come and look around the house, he was to scared of Max our german shepherd eating him.
So, if Wasp buys a guard dog, preferably of German descent, he can build right over the property line?...Maybe...
Make it 2 just to err on the safe side .
