Merry Christmas to you too terp and jppr, and to the other forum members aswell.

The fence is finished today. Wife installed tv/parabol and now we got over 100ch in thai...
but that ok for me. I don't watch regular tv so often. I'm more on watching things on internet. So if I move more permanent here I need a good internet connection.

Today BIL is setting up the fence to the east as we found out why not finish the fence around the plot.

Wife has bought lot of green stuff she is starting to plant out on the plot.

We got the bills etc from BIL and when we sum up its about 1.3m baht in total for 58m2 house incl sala (50 + 8) with one ac and 1 water heater and 2 bathrooms. BIL will make a permanent kitchen later so that will be an additional cost. All in all im quite happy with that for such a nice small wooden house.

    6kon,
Outstanding. All seems to have worked out to your liking and I really like the house and location.

    Look forward to more pics.

    Cheers

Nice place mate well done , too much maintenance for me on a place like that with the salt sea air , BUT we are all different and as long as your happy which by the sound of it you are all,s good .

One thing I would do mate is take those silly little vent pipes out the shit tanks and put some about 30 foot high in as when those tanks begin to fill and ferment your gonna have one mother + father of a stink blowing right in your home at that height .
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs

FO: Thanks, but I'll not be able to use it full time for many years, but we have people here to look after the house when we are away.

Nigelandjan: Thanks. Making the soil longer is a good tip, but I'll wait and see if it become a problem. We have had same solution on the house we have at the family's farm for 16 years, and it hasn't been a problem there. Normally we empty the septic when it start to smell.

We are still waiting for the electricity and water. Hopefully it will arrive before we leave, but as we get it from the neigbour now while we wait its not a big problem.

I got the approved drawings from BIL. I thought the land up from the road was 20x100m but its 100m long and 20m wide on the roadside and 23m on the other side. So its 150m2 bigger than I thought.
The housewalls is plased 2m from the neighbour plot and 6m from the road according to the regulations.

Excellent, a little bonus on the bigger chunk of land. I look forward to more pics 6kon. Houses are an evolving project. I suspect landscaping and other things are coming up.

Yesterday we saw one of the pink dolphins out in the sea.

Tomorrow the munks will visit and bless the house.

I asked what wood BIL had used on the bathroom ceilings, and it was "smell good wood". The house is built on different wood sources, some teak and some other hardwood, but BIL said all was good wood and he had verified as he was on the buildsite most of the time that the builders didn't cheat with the wood as he said housebuilders often did with those prefab widen houses.

I have now got back from LOS. It was a nice travel, and I miss the place.
Now its time for update with some pics.

I got the drawings. Here is the house placed on the plot. It's 6m from the road and 2m from neighbour:

    Here is the roomplan:

And here is the septic system. Had to include it for wasp :

Even if the drawings was made after the build, its some small difference, like where the toilet is placed

We also saw some of these:

People eat it, but I have seen it on a program over food that can be deadly. In the program they said it had a very deadly potion. The woman that prepared it in the program said it was not a problem eating her fish as she had proper prayer formular

We soon found out that we needed to do sth with the roof as it didn't protect the stair. So BIL made a roof. We bought steel and the fiber-roofplates with copper colour, and he build it.

Here is a picture taken from the road of the house. The sitting group is just one we borrowed from our house at the family farm. We mounted extra lights 6w leds with daylight sensor around the house. The electricity is prepared for the grid. :

Here are some pictures of the private bathroom

I like the colour of the tiles on the floor. The color matches the wooden walls and tiled walls. Its not slippery when wet:
