Lovely attention to detail on the panelled ceilings, I want mine to look similar when I eventually get around to it. I wouldn't worry too much about the white board on the toilets you can paint that to match the rest of the house as and when.

There is a wooden wall beside the toilet.... but as its the private one I'll know who that missed the toilet and hit the wall......

Thanks. Yes I like the details of the ceilings too. I think your house looks very nice. Hopefully my house will be ok when finished too I think my BIL is doing a great job so far. The concept is a bit like yours, with a prefab house extended with 2 extra bathrooms and kitchen.

Anyone that have experience with some security systems in Thailand?
I'm thinking on a system with smoke detectors, gas, burglar alarm and camera using GSM.
How is it to import such things from China?

My missus and I have discussed this very thing, more out of safety than any fear we have. I recommend the battery operated Co2 and Smoke detectors. We will use them in strategic locations. Nice thing about battery is that you can put them anywhere. We will also set up one webcam(my FIL actually wanted it) towards our soi. Again this is easy as most everything now is Bluetooth. Most of this you can order off Amazon and have shipped to Thailand.

    my 2 cents

Soon they will start the paint job. It will be in a darker brown colour than the red one that is often used, BIL told wife that he thought the paint job of the house would take about a month to finish. He still thinks he can finished almost on budget. Hopefully he is right on that one
So still it looks like it will be finished till we get down there in December.

FO: Thanks. Its nothing compared to your house. Our house is small, but then I think its big enough for us, and if we feel its to small we have still a lot of ground to extend it.

Absolutely. Lots of room to go larger if you want. I really want to see the wood all done up and stained. It should look quite stunning.

You, Mr M (FO) and Terp will be feet up relaxing soon. I am still a lonnnng way off.

BIL is working hard to get the house ready for us. He is doing the electric part now. He told us he had to put the light switch for the sleeping room on the wall and not hidden as the sliding doors made it difficult to put it inside the wall.

Google has updated the area. A week ago it was just a cloud there. On the updated satelite maps I can see the land. I think its 8-9 months old, and my wifes latest filling of the land to the sea isn't on the picture.
The plot is 20x100m from the road and up, and continue on the other side of the road to the sea.
I have placed "the house" at about its position as its not on the google maps yet:

Nice lot and view. I did a google satellite deal. Pic showed very little of our area. Could not zoom much to get any detail.
