rendering done in artlantis 2.3 you can download a demo version here
    http://www.artlantis.com/index.php?page=download/demo/index

BUT it is only a rendering machine, models have to be imported from a CAD tool. i use ArchiCad 12, but it does support many others, sketchup included.

you will need a good computer as it uses alot of memory to run properly.

Nice job. That's about spot-on. Only the interior floors would be white reconstituted granite tiles, but I wouldn't bother redoing it for that.

Obviously the interior is where all the detail is at, but it's not necessary to do a rendering of that.

My turn! I would like a 3-car garage with a pitched roof. The dimensions will be about 22 ft x 32 ft. The front view should show 2 single garage doors. Where the 3 garage door would go there will be a double sliding glass window and a walk in door.

The outside walls will be light brown with a dark green metal roof.

    *wringing hands in anticipation*

    nice...

you do construction docs as well?

Been doing 3d work for my whole career, focused mostly on generating the drawings straight from the models...quantity survey and area take-offs too.

Been using Architectural Desktop, Revit and Bentley, never touched ArchiCAD though. Maybe we can collaborate and help some of these guys out in a valuable way.

Send me a PM if you got a minute. I am an architect who is camped out in phuket riding out the current financial meltdown...

hillbilly will work on that for you, maybe tomorrow ok.

Rango, my construction docs usually get done locally as they are needed in thai, etc.
mostly just do the designs/3D/walk throughs etc for customers to envisage what they could get.

and then of course build em

im in hua hin and willing to help out where i can as its a little slow at the moment as you probably know.would love to do some joint work if required. you would definately be able to teach me a few things

heres a short vid of a project.

    Great job splitlid!

Yes there will be some big double sliding windows (3ft x 6ft) on each side. Is there a way to extend the area where the front door is? This will basically be my shop area and will probably take as much space as a regular garage door would. Also there will be a couple of sun panels in the roof in order to gain more light.

Having a think, take out the 2 single garage doors and put in one double-wide garage door.

You could make some money doing this, just don't start charging right now.

Might want to install 2 sets of double glazed doors as well.
