Recycling Lead Batteries from UPS

I have accumulated a number of lead batteries that I have replaced in the 5 UPS I have, what should I do with them ? you are supposed to recycle them, and with the price of lead, I am sure they can be easily recycled.

The phone number on the Battery are only for USA, maybe they have local facilities here for recycling ?

or should I simply bin them ? they are quite heavy.

Take them to any car battery shop.
They will recycle them for you.
