    Java script problems...

Booted up my mac today and I'm having some serious problems with Java script.

2 websites, one a google ad site and another which is a banner hosting site are causing my web browsing experience to be seriously shite. It locks up the browser. Turn off java script and all is okay, but as this and every other site needs it, well, it's not a lot of fun.

Anyone else having this problem? There's no reason for this to happen...haven't d/led anything, or changed anything.

you probably need to download a newer version of Safari,

complex JS will fuck up your browser experience badly, in particularly FireFox

Google is quite guilty of that with gmail,

Ironically, only IE seems to be immune from those JS issues

Have you tried a maintenance software to fix permissions, etc on your Mac OS ?

This one is very useful: Titanium's Software • Download

OnyX is a multifunction utility for Mac OS X which allows you to verify the Startup Disk and the structure of its System files, to run misc tasks of system maintenance, to configure some hidden parameters of the Finder, Dock, QuickTime, Safari, iTunes, Login window, Spotlight and many Apple’s applications, to delete caches, to remove a certain number of files and folders that may become cumbersome and more.

I'm not a Mac OS user but does Mac OS have any incorrect permission settings by default? Normally you want to control this manually...

Why should we loose time doing it manually when this brilliant guy brought us a very reliable free software who does the job in less than twenty minutes ? Donations are welcome though.

I only run it now and then when Mac OS X take more than 25 sec to boot and when I install major updates. A jewel software for sure.

Have a look at the website if you want to know more about all the features available.

Unless he is just correcting some screw-ups from Apple...he has to be "very brilliant" if he know what files I want to protect and which ones I want to open up for access...
All that talk about "hidden parameters" is to me a signal...be careful with this software.
Licenses are not properly published on the page either...

True. No problems with the update here although I'm not sure where the improvement is. Seemed to work a bit better before.

I use this software for 2 years already and never screwed my OS.

My goal is not to convince you to use it, only to inform that such a free software is available . You don't like it, don't use it, period.

I don't troll on Windows thread, don't troll on Apple threads plz.

And you can put the licences deep inside where the sun never shine ....

Leave him alone, he's only doing what he's told.
