About £5 in the UK not sure about Herman land, last time i unlocked a phone in LOS (pattaya) fuckers charged 1200baht

iPhone 24-28.000baht i think, can't help with the samsung

Had my Samsung (AT&T) unlocked at the Big C complex across from the (former) Central World on Rajdamri (sp?) for 600 Bt. 4th floor I think, with all the food outlets. There's a fellow there that does only Samsungs.

You can get a new sim card for 49 bt, generally.

Just paid about 40 Brit pounds for an Iphone 3210 in Korat Mall. Real one I think. China copy was half of this!! This is the twin sim with TV and the lot.

Has anyone actually tried unlocking the phone themselves?

I'm not sure about the iPhone, but a lot of current handsets can be unlocked with a selection of keycodes.

^I asked my provider before I went to Thailand and they said they "couldn't find the code". I think they just didn't want me to do it and instead prefer me pay the overly inflated International Roaming fees.
