She's a dumb chick. A Mac is perfect for her, so let her get on with it.
I agree, let her have it. Dumb users deserve the mac, that's Steve Job market strategy.Originally Posted by Marmite the Dog

Poor confused windows users.....keep clicking away at those very informative requests to upgrades and the "Are you sure you want to do this" bubbles for spastics.
Oh, by the way, make sure you pay for and run your anti virus software. it's very good, doesn't interfere with any of your other programs at all. Norton is especially good.
Nice troll.

MS carved it's place in history by capturing the business computing market in the 80's as all business software was developed for DOS, while apple was putting out these... Cute and a wonder with graphics, but Apple missed the target by a long shot... Market share is the name of the game and the business computing environment is much larger than the graphics design segment...

Give a man a match, and he'll be warm for a minute, but set him on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
Yes, you're right, kind of reminds me of the early 80's efforts from Amstrad in the UK. However, in the context of when they were marketed, they were quite revolutionary. Microsoft is an institution, but thrives on protectionist marketing, denial of 3rd party expansion development, and ultimately honesty. Of course, they're not into hardware either. Conversely, Apple do the whole thing themselves, and have more innovation and customer awareness than any other company that I know. Sure, knock them if you want, but there are too many more than satisfied customers out there, and their brand loyalty is coveted by all other major players in this sector.
That would be a surefire way to confirm her original choice.
Goes along with their microbrains.
Cognitive dissonance runs strong in that breed - I used to care, but nowadays I just enjoy watching people who are not only okay with mediocrity, but but who willing trudge through their own continued mistakes. It's actually quite entertaining.
"The MAC is a terrible computer, overpriced and breaks all the time. I'd show you how great my PC is, but it's off for service to get a virus removed I caught while surfing a porn website...."
Hey, how does the saying go - "som nam nah"
Look another idiot who thinks it's all about marketshare...
Yeah, tell that to Dell, who's income plunged 54%; or Nokia, and Sony Ericcson, which scored billions in losses. They all have neat marketshares of their respective markets.
Apple, on the other hand, has 35 billion $$ in pure profits, stashed away in their bank, with no long term debt.
Look up 'profit margin' someday, when you have a moment.
describe you and your likes to a tee. Mactards are being laughed at by everyone who is serious about computing (and they usually don't use a mac)Originally Posted by DaffyDuck
Big fucking deal, so does MS. Nobody denies how successful Apple is at making money. They milk retards and gays, how easy is that ? They are no different than MS, except MS doesn't milk retards and gays (Windows 7 being the exception though)Originally Posted by DaffyDuck

It's so funny how you just knee jerk spout statements that you haven't even bothered researching.

From the recent Mobius / Microsoft invitation only event at Microsoft's Redmond Campus - interesting what platform folks 'serious about computing' appear to prefer:

Plus, last but not least, most of the 'real' scientists I know (you know, JPL and MIT) appears to be using Macs not just as their personal computers, but also in their labs.
Weird, isn't it?
You do need to watch out -- you seem to be falling all too easily through these trapdoors.
But this is the whole argument in a nutshell. There is very little difference between a PC and a Mac. It's kinda like argueing about which is better; a Cox's apple or a Granny Smiths.Originally Posted by DaffyDuck

Maybe they use Macs as a hobby or send emails or surf porn, hardly a case of anything serious.
