I'm not sure if this is the correct place to put this, but is anyone else out there having problems with Facebook? I don't use it often, but do occasionally to keep in touch with family members. For the past two weeks or so, it only allows me to perform very limited actions, and often displays only a few items. I presume they are having some type of malfunction, but they are impossible to contact. You can ask the FAQ's, which of course never apply, but I can't find any way to just ask them what's up. Since TD appears to have a number of folks who are computer savvy, does anyone know what's up? This really isn't that important, just thought that some TD member might have a quick answer. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you're logging in through a proxy. Same thing happens to me when I do.

It's working fine if I log in normally.

Hi Don. Exposing my ignorance. What's that mean? I type in Welcome to Facebook | Facebook and hit enter. Always worked before (up until a few weeks ago). Should I be doing something else?

I'm no expert, but maybe your PC has a virus that redirects it.

Thanks again. I entered using vtunnel, and it did the same. I can see some posts, but cannot respond to any. It also no longer displays older posts, nor do many of the other applications work. Thus, I gather it is a problem with FB, and not with the way I am accessing it. Especially as once every few days, it works like it used to for an hour or so, before crashing agan. Thanks for your time and suggestions. Guess I'll just wait 'em out.

Be careful when on-line banking & such.

There's no fault with FB at the moment.

Thanks. Can't figure this out. Everything else in my computer works fine. I get notifications from FM through my e-mail, and have no problem logging into FB, but it won't let me do most applications once I get in. Weird.

What browser are you using? My default is Opera and some of the FB UI elements don't work well. However, when I use Firefox, there's no problem.

Am using Firefox. Will fall back to the tried and true remedy - will ask my kid to fix it when he gets home from work. Should have done that to start with.....

And now, after a week or so, it's back and working fine, albeit in a new "improved" format. From thousands of whining comments, it appears that the new format is generally despised, and that many people experienced problems over the past weeks while they reformatted. So, all good, at least for the moment. Thanks to those who attempted to provide guidance to the computer-challenged.
