Just started using Safari as my browser, very nice, very fast, smooth, easy to use and great functions, large screen and a small border. Very happy.
Anyone else?
Pros and cons?

Yes, but I have not been using it. I went from IE to FF and now have just decided to give Safari a try. Audi have been available since 1909 but I only started driving them 6 years ago.Originally Posted by Clogiron

Use safari for TD and the "reader" function is great when reading online newspapers, very fast.
Used it a bit a couple years back and was not impressed. Must have been improvements so shall try again. Does it support all the functions we have on TD such as YouTube paste and display?Originally Posted by English Noodles
By the way, it's only been available for Windows since June 2007.Originally Posted by Clogiron
Default browser on the iPhone, I prefer Opera on Mobile a lot slicker (feel free to attack android users)
Back in the days I was a Netscape supporter so it goes without comment that FF is the browser by default nowadays.
No doubt there will be 1001 IT experts posting the pro's and con's of each browser later but for me FF on PC and Opera on mobile, no technical waffle it works for me.

What kind of pencil shall I use? 2B or not 2B?
So far I'm finding Safari to be preferable to FF on my notebook, and I'm a big fan of FF.

Is it Safari that doesn't show the green/red blobs when pasted in to the "show us your repo" thread?Originally Posted by larvidchr

Yes, it looks that way.
Anything else that others know about?
Copy and Paste function seems to work better than FF. The Safari C&P recognizes line spaces, FF never did.Originally Posted by larvidchr

Never been impressed on me laptop with Vista (vista works good for me...). Happy with IE, but have ff and safari on my toolbar just in case...

same, wasn't too impressed, and it's very slow, and there are some major JavaScript compatibility issues.Originally Posted by Norton
Incidentally Apple website doesn't render well in FF or IE anymore,
is there FF for the iPhone ?
Safari is a typical iTard product that doesn't display the internet properly, so no, I don't use it.
I had trouble with finding a good adblock filter a while back, never bothered since. Chrome has the best startup speed, plus its got the best screen real estate, but firefox has the best addons. Its a tough call, I use both.
Okay, Safari seemed good at first, but once you start trying to get around doing a range of different tasks then you soon find a number of problems with it. It has now been sacked.
What browsers is everyone here using?
FF on my main PCs (for the add-ons) and Chrome on my laptop (for speed).
Will give Chrome a try later today, off to Kho Kred now.
