    Contents Management

Looking for an easy to use WYSIWYG type content management system

Looking at Joomla just now, not sure if it's going to do what I want.

I basically want the ability to write bits and pieces. For others who are members to be able to write some bits and add comments. Also provide the ability to upload and share files between ourselves.

Is Joomla or something similar to that what I need to use?

I basically need something that I can workout in the next 3 weeks or so. Get up and running then keep an eye on with updates, automatic maintenance and backups.

Where is the best place to install it? Should it be in root or in it's own directory?

Last time I put something in it's own directory (Wordpress) I had a bugger of a time getting it to load. Had to do some sort of redirect thing to the page, which made it a bit slower loading.

Is there an easier way of doing setting it up?

The root directory on the website.

If you have decent hosting, it's a couple of mouse clicks using Fantastico.
