Alexa.com reliable?

I advertise with some guy on his new website, it's very cheap but I seriously doubt his traffic claims that he gets. My co-partner agreed to his advertising fee and I want to prove him wrong and advertise elsewhere

I found this website, is it reliable?

I'll use Teakdoor as an example

It's really too low in traffic to use alexa on it, you reckon say one in 2,500 people use alexa tool bar and that site gets say less than 50 visitors perday, also the 3 month stat for 10 pages per visitor is extremely unlikely, most people use the net to find information and don't have time to click through 10 pages just for fun.

You will also find a lot of sites sell their advertising on hits rather than pages viewed, we get over 10 million hits per month

but only serve around 2 million pages per month

Is there any other options I could use in order to see a sites traffic as in hits.

Only from his server stats, don't forget, hits are worthless, its pages served that count.

Just try a google search for what his site is about and try one for what your site is about. Does his come up in any of the searches? If not then his site probably isn't best for your needs.

But I'm no expert.

^He is lacking in inlinks to get to first page at the moment, google is the best way to see how a page is doing, an example on here is the visa run pages, ie google laos visa run or pattaya visa run or penang visa run etc and they should all be on the first page.
