I just changed my torrent client to deluge.
have to admit, this looks pretty cool.

Wow! I'm impressed![]()
I must be, I bet you have some cool ring tones on your phone as well.

i don't have a telephone.
got rid about 6 months ago.
I see that from your share ratio..Originally Posted by ChiangMai noon

Thieving client it is.

IP are going to ban azureus.
that's why i changed.
i prefer it anyway.
far less bloated.
don't worry bout my ratio.
those are IP torrents.
I have a 50 gig upload excess.
That's very stoopid of them, Azureus is the leader and the others are followers when it comes to development and setting new standards.Originally Posted by ChiangMai noon
What are their reasons for banning it? Sounds like an early April joke to me.
it's reporting bad data to the tracker.Originally Posted by lom
i was banned there for ratio cheating first time i signed up when i hadn't been cheating at all.
seems this has happened to an awful lot of people.
i think they'd be better off sorting their software out than banning the client, but yes, it's on its way out.
front page of IP.
lom.
i have the most up to date version of deluge.
it's pretty sweet.
certainly no eye candy, but does the job extremely well.
i suspect it's petty jealousy that has you kick and ban deluge from your peers list.
i shall kick all azureus peers in retaliation.
Is Deluge a lot better than utorrent ?
^
i think deluge can be used in windows, but it's primarily designed for ubuntu.
Front page is a login screen, and no I don't want an invite.Originally Posted by ChiangMai noon
I suppose it is only your ancient Azurues version they are going to ban - quite common that trackers ban older torrent client versions.
Maybe IPT think that they are the standard setters..Originally Posted by ChiangMai noon
Amazing, theyre now banning Azureus and permitting Transmission which is one of the dodgiest reporters around, banned on loads of sites.
nope, they have already banned most of the new vuse versions and are going to ban all azureus clients shortly.Originally Posted by lom

Deluge Torrent v1.0.5
Our Score: 4.5/5
Private Tracker Usage: Yes (on most).
URL: Deluge BitTorrent Client
They Say: Deluge is a full-featured BitTorrent client for Linux, Mac OS X and Windows. It uses libtorrent in it’s backend and PyGTK for it’s user interface.
Our Review: Deluge comes pre-configured with some very favorable client settings, most of which do not need to be changed in order to maximize connectivity and speed. However, WinXP (and Vista) users who have wisely applied the associated ‘Max. Half-Open Connections’ patch should change this setting from "8" to a higher number. Deluge also comes with an IP Blocklist plugin (not enabled by default), and includes automatic BlueTack/Peer Guardian blocklist downloading & updating.
Deluge is jam-packed with features, including: A WebUI interface and available greasemonkey userscripts; enabled encryption; Mainline DHT, UPnP, NAT-PMP, PEX and LSD are supported (and ON by default); RSS compatibility; more.
If you’re a frequent user of public trackers, we highly recommend that you give Deluge a shot. In our head-to-head tests with µTorrent, using the exact same torrents simultaneously, Deluge kicked some serious ass. Without tweaking Deluge settings (except for the ‘Max. Half-Open Connections’), we sustained better connectivity and superior download speeds when compared to µTorrent:

We do not Recommend Azureus/Vuze at all and very soon Azureus/Vuze will be banned at IPT ( all versions ) ! ! !

I never get anything from deluge users.Originally Posted by ChiangMai noon

It is a client focused on getting full hand as quick as possible.
Nice for you if you think that
"I couldn't care how long time it takes for you to get the full file. I need it quick and you can wait until I become a seed, then I will help you."
is ok.
I'll red you for that.Originally Posted by ChiangMai noon

i got some very curt replies after they banned me for not ratio cheating.
they said their cheat detection software was infallible.
i had cheated.
end of.
i'd have fukked them off entirely if it wasn't my favourite site.
Yes, Transmission is also shite and on my block list.Originally Posted by melvbot

i have a max upload of 40 KB/s.
it does the job.
on the public trackers, I am usually well over 1 ratio before/completion of download.
when i had downloaded man on wire from mininova the other day, ratio was 2.4 when it finished.
Looks like Im going to have to switch to Transmission again unless I run a Darwin port of Deluge.
