How to get round VOIP Block?

    Anyone here from the UAE?

I'm told they've blocked Skype, which was the last straw having already blocked WhatsApp, Viber, etc.

A mate of mine uses it a lot for his business. I told him to try Linphone; he can download it but can't create an account.

Someone else said Google Duo isn't blocked yet.

And someone else recommended something called TKLN.

If you're there, can you give them a try? Or if you have an alternative, please post it here.

(Yes, I know a VPN is an alternative, but that is the last resort).

Of course the two main ISPs claim it's nothing to do with them - they just happen to have launched two VOIP alternatives at between Bt440 and Bt880 a month - the c u n t s.

Likely same VPN issue, when I was in Al Ain/Buraimi we sometimes used Skype I cannot recall if it was an Omani provider or UAE

    Specifically VOIP apps, not messaging.

Yeah they blocked Skype here before NYE ... really sucks as I rely on it when I'm regional to call the UAE.

IMO still seems to be working on a quick test within UAE so hopefully still good from outside

    Thanks.

In fact that you all for your suggestions, I've passed them on (Facebook Messenger still appears to work at least, of only for messaging!).

And Buttplug's back from his annual cottaging holiday.

You can tell because there are a load of new posts from him with "blah blah blah" in them.
