    Email Server Settings: One-2-Call

Can anyone help MM he has just sent me a text asking me to google the setting he needs to send emails.
As I think he may have mentioned before going over he is using his mobile as the modem to the computer (all be it that it is very slow and continually dropping out *snigger*)

I've done a search but can't find anything in English, does anyone know the settings?? I'm sure there would be a beer in it

you need to set the flux capacitor to manual and have a steady flow of uranium. alternitavly you can set it up to use electricity, unfortunaly it needs 0.21 gigawatts to power it, only a bolt of lightning can generate that much power but we don't know where or when its gonna strike!

I would've thought the email setting are the same as back home, so he shouldn't need to change anything.

    Contact 1-2-Call/AIS on 1175.
They can send the configuration directly to the phone.

^4^ Yer I guess he's after those settings but notreally sure which one they use over there.

^5^ Incoming emails you don't need to change anything but out going emails you need to go through the local ISP - unless using web based mail which I suggest he may need to do.

^6^ Cheers LOM I'll text him those details.

Thanks again all I'll make sure he just runs a bar tab at the next meet (thats if he actually shows you for once )

I sent him a text, his reply wasn't good - the ext arial he got hasn't helped and it sounds like the signal is so weak he can't keep the net connected.

As we all know MM can't go with the internet for more than a day or two so this must really be starting to get to him...

you better believe it is getting to me cimboc, thanks for starting the thread.

I did call the 1175 number thanks Lom and they gave me what I already had. They worked fine when I was in Bangkok but as soon as I got out bush it stopped working. I have tried everything but to no avail.

Marmers, when ever you use a different network you must use their outgoing mail address to use your mail programme or am I missing something?
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.

You can use your home ISP smtp server if they allow traffice from outside nets.
Some of them do that by forcing you to identify yourself with username and password (to be setup in your mail program) or by having a separate smtp server with heavy spam filters for outside traffic.
The latter is usually called a relay smtp server.

The 2 smtp server adresses you got from them should work all over Thailand
if it is cs-loxinfo you are subscribed to through your 1-2-call/AIS card.

my home address is mail.westnet.com.au and it says that it is off line but has no such similar message next to the two provided by 1 2 call.

    Not usually, no.

That being said, when one of the monkeys feks things up it sometimes means using you ISP's mail address.

I just bought the same card 1-2 CALL 500bhat 250 hrs and used mail.loxinfo.co.th and it worked fine, you may have to go to mail setup/accounts, select your mail account then advance settings and remove the "requires authorisation" on outgoing server tab. I'm with optusnet.com.au and it worked fine. hope that helps
