Due to the runaway failure of my general phone thread (i.e I cant be arsed with it) Ive decided to do one just on the iPhone as Ill probably update this one a bit more often.
I try out quite a few apps and to be honest it can be a real pain sorting the good from the bad as theres so may of them available, most are free but some are worth paying for.
The links to apps will be a link to the iTunes store so theyll open a new tab/window then open iTunes automatically or you'll need to open iTunes and search for them that way.
OK, first app and I dont want to peak too early so this could be useful to a few but probably not all.
Reqall is a memory jogger/GTD (get things done) app, theres a few around but as this was free I decided to give it a go and sort of stuck with it. The thing that makes this different is its able to take notes, make appointments, reminders etc by voice so for example you just say "dentist 24th February" and it will enter it into the app. It does quite well in converting speech to text but nothings perfect so it might make the odd mistake if you dont speak clearly or have a funny accent, it copes with mine OK so its worth a look as its free. Theres also an account you can access through a browser which syncs automatically with the phone (and vice versa) so you can just add the stuff you want from your computer.
You can choose to have a daily reminder sent by email which is handy as I tend to check my emails and forget to check the app, how ironic.
this is a link to the website

I can be pretty forgetful at times and even though it takes a bit of getting used to the app its been more help than hassle.
