After tons of research, I'm going with the Soundcore Q30 I'm not much of an audiophile, but I want something over the ear that I can wear for 7-8 hours a day while teaching. These look pretty good based on the reviews.

That looks like a great choice. I have a pair of over-the-ear Cowin E7s which I love, and I also have a Beats set which is junk. The Beats S3 Studio headsets stop working when cold, and the noise cancellation comes and goes which is really annoying.
I've got a pair of on ear headphones, one of the mid range Jabra models, I'll probably swap between the two. I would only wear them 25 minutes at a time with a 5 minute break.
I've a student that does sound for a major TV producer and he uses Sennheiser and wears them basically all day.

Cheers chaps.
Still no info on what numbers of what, one should be looking for, so might have to google it meself.
Was out looking at some earbuds earlier.
As you can see, rumours of me being 2 foot 6 are well off the mark.
So, how well do the work?
To be honest, at 40cm long, I thought the bass would be a bit better on me Vengaboys tracks.
Looking at your previous post
Earbuds are stuck in your ear and audio is via bluetooth. This is not quite the same as headphones connected to the output jack of a HiFI. In the latter case input impedance and sensitivity matters, because if the impedance isn't matched you lose power and sensitivity in terms of db/mw wil determine the volume.
Impedance matching isn't an issue with earbuds and you only really need to know the max sound level in db. All of the high end devices are more than adequate for you use.
If you want earthquake vibration levels of Bass or to wake the dead then get yourself an amp and speakers. Earbuds are for comfortably cancelling everyday noise and listening to music with pretty good quality.
There are reviewers who get paid for their expert analyses on YT.
Endless detail is available on every product.
What sort of loon would post on TD to get that info from other posters?
Research it yourself instead of getting someone that has to give you the answers??
Madness.
Madness I tells ya.
Look at that what hifi link I put up and buy what you can afford.
Then get the 'radio shack' ones and tell us you bought Bowers & Wilkins and the impedance is just superb.
There was 28 Radio Shacks left in the world , in 2017 .
Where are the 28 remaining Radio Shack stores? Wikipedia says only 28 stores are left, and why did Radio Shack do this? - Quora
^Boring! zzz lol
I think they call them 'The Source' now here in Canada.
I bought 'the Beats' wireless and I barely use them anymore as I don't have the premium spotify thingy anymore. I have to upgrade my membership to listen to nonstop music without the ads while biking. Ho hum! lol
Listening to youtube isn't the same.
Stuck me head in a few doors today and was looking at a Samsung pair for 6k baht, and shop assistants playing on their phones in the shadows.
One shop was selling JBL and had a nice young lad that saw me looking and said they have test sets, if I'd like to test them.
Sure.
Banged on me Slayer albums and they sounded great in terms of volume, bass and clarity. Max volume defo wasn't an issue like the Xiaomi ones.
2k baht, then at the register they saw they have a store discount down to 990thb. Sweet.
The Samsung may be better, but the JBL are defo good enough for 60 minute running and gym sessions. Getting to test them was the main selling point.
^ thanks for that, they're on sale here
JBL is complete shit. Another farang got scammed.
JBL Tour Pro Plus TWS vs Sony WF-1000XM4: What is the difference?
Had a 60 min gym sesh with System of a Down before dinner and they're good enough for that in terms of volume, bass and clarity.
Bugger.
Though, it wouldn't be the first time. :/
Post up a photo of your Sony WF-1000BMX4 that you own so I'll know exactly what to look for, cheers.
Edit, looking online they're only a tad more than the Samsung I was looking at.
Show me a pic of your ones and I'll take a look in the shops here, cheers.
