Thread: Going from Win 7 to Win 10.

Been using Win 7 on all me computers since I was spat out of the womb.

Picking up a new notebook tomorrow with Win 10 on it.

Will only be for media files and annoying people on the internet.


anytime I've used Win 10 it seems like a load of bollox. Weather apps and trending apps and foking gay shit apps all over the desktop.


Can I turn all that shit off? Weather is a perfect foking 22 degrees under me aircon all day.

Can I turn off that whole aspect of it?

Is there a Win 7 App that can be downloaded?


Any other differences one should be aware of?

It's actually for The Kid (to break, probably) and me when foking off for a few days.


Are there still shops easily available to install Win 7 for a few hundred bahtskis?

They're just decoration. And yes you can turn them off.

Give it to someone who's played with Win 10 for more than ten minutes and they'll show you.

Or just use Google and a bit of noodle.

I used Win 7 forever... anyway, I've customized it to look like Win 7 (as I'm more comfortable with the look and feel of it)..

Spend an hour or so deleting all the crud it comes loaded with, and alter it to appear like Win 7 and it's fine.

Once you ignore the bootup time (about 3-5 hours).
