Last week my dear old faithfull gave up the ghost , my 6 year old Macbook pro decided to go into lockdown . Whatever I did from all the advice I used on You tube I could not get the login screen off despite being able to login for more than 15 seconds .

Now luckily I got a 128 gig Ipad pro for Xmas and had transferred any photos / videos and music across .

So now was the time to go into recovery mode , scrub the drive out and reinstall the operating system , then on further investigation I found out if built after 2007 it could have El Capitain installed so I have now upgraded to that OS .

Result is I now have a super fast Macbook pro again working like the day it was new ,, super bit of kit ,, lucky it gave up when it did otherwise I would have lost the lot . I had everything backed up on a WD portable drive , however that has for some reason become corrupt and I cannot even format the poxy thing , probably made in BKK

Here is to the next 6 years !
