Thread: Panthip Plaza

I've not been in BKK for 18 months or so but I've been told that Panthip Plaza has become a hotel, have I been mislead ? If not is there a replacement ?

I don't know about it becoming a hotel, but it is definitely winding down to a close in its current incarnation.

About 70% of the shops closed already.

Some have moved to the IT MALL on the 4/5th floor of the Palladium mall which is on the opposite side of the road about 300m away.

I think your best bet though would be to go to Fortune Town at the junction of Rama 9 and Ratchadapisek Road.

I was out at Pantip last week.

They are modernizing the building, installing all new elevators and diversifying away from just being a gadget mall.

Did not see any sign of it being a turned into a Hotel though. Many shops closed maybe half. Still plenty happening in Pantip though.

Fortune Town is the place to go for your gear.

last time I was in Fortune there wasn't much there, anyone know about Pantip Bangkapi, its software I'm after ?
