Looking to get a website up and running,anyone had any experience with elance.com.?

^You can make a dapper website in 2 days.

What most wont tell you is that after that you have to spend 80/90% of your time removing malware/spam scripts and general fckery.

What type of website - no need to be too specific, but might be able to help.

anyone had any experience with elance.com.?

Lot's of sharks on there - cheap prices - but once you give them your admin passwords they'll put backdoors on the site - to do what I just described above.

Use EBAY or ALIBABA or similair if you're selling - free to set up and they take care of the security.

Or you could try something like Hostgator - cheap as chips and they offer free website templates/sites (with 500 odd templates) with the cheap as chips hosting packages. Maybe not the most mind-blowing sites, but they are secured and updated regularly.

Trying to keep an "independent" website secure is impossible - unless you're a programmer and have time on your hands.

Themeforest is another one that has a good rep.

Not ethical to do such, I'd say this designer of my site, didn't read anything that i mailed him.

When he doubled the price, that was me gone,when alarm bells start ringing its head for the door.

With WIX one is limited as to design and content - but free.
