Does your one have that super hi-res retina screen?

Mum has that one, must admit, it's the sharpest screen
    I've ever seen.

    Lucky man, enjoy it.

Yeah, turns out it doesn't. System preferences gives me a separate icons for mouse and for keyboard.

Choosing either does not reveal a keyboard shortcuts menu.

but i'll just look nasty if I start redding folk trying to help me.

I pondered between an Apple & the Samsung Tab S - for wife. Her choice - Samsung. Why Samsung - easy, brand excellent, price, Apple - for show-ponies.
Mine - I am very contented with my old DT - PC - Windows XP. Should I ever desire to frequent Starbucks, I may have a problem Chances = 0%.

Well booey for you, I guess.
Why did you feel the need to bring that up in this thread? Did somebody insist that you go out and buy something from Apple?

    5. In the little pup-up window select "Google Chrome" as the application
    6. Type in "Reload This Page" in the "Menu Title" field exactly as it appears in the Chrome's View menu (no quotes of course)
    7. Click inside the "Keyboard Shortcut" field and hit F5 key (or any desired combination)
    8. Restart Chrome to make it work,
stuck on step 4. I cannot see a little plus and not sure which white area you mean.

    sorry.

What happens if you select "App Shortcuts" and then Chrome? Should be able to add it there, or else just get used to +R. You know, "Think different" and all that!

The + - options should come up beneath lower left of the larger of the two white panes I think. I can't test it because I have a different version of OS X than you, and I don't have Chrome, and I can't be bothered. You're welcome.

Thanks for your patience all. Got it sorted now. The missing instruction between 3 and 4 was to select Apps Shortcuts item in the list.

Then everything else works. Maybe obvious to you, but it wasnt to me until QC mentioned in it in passing.

Dunno why it didnt last time. maybe I was using cntrl R instead of cmnd R.

    Anyway, thanks both.
