Apple has quietly updated its Retina display-equipped MacBook Pro laptops.
All 13in and 15in models have had some kind of upgrade, with the base 13in model (£999) now offering a 2.6GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of flash storage and a nine-hour battery. The next model up, priced at £100 extra, boasts the same specs bar twice as much storage space, while the top-level 13in (from £1,399) has 512GB of storage and a 2.8GHz Core i5 CPU (it can be upgraded pre-purchase, of course, with up to 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM).
There are two new 15in MacBook Pros with Retina display, both equipped with a whopping 16GB of RAM and Intel Iris Pro graphics. The cheaper £1,599 model offers a quad-core Core i7 processor running at 2.2GHz, 256GB of storage and eight-hour battery life. The top model (£1,999). has a 2.5GHz Core i7, 512GB of storage, eight-hour battery life and an Nvidia GeForce GT 750M graphics card.
All of the new models are available to order now from the Apple website.
Oh good. thanks. I didn't realise they had a page like that.
Beautiful it is Willy King. But, 1000 Great British Pounds for the basic 13 incher would be a bit steep if one were paying for it...
I've never owned an iApple device, so I'll be interested in how you find the s/w and usability of the creature. The big problem I have with them is connectability; I do presentations moving around on different monitors, displays, OHPs, etc, and the iApple can be a pain working with non-iApple stuff according to colleagues who bought them but soon outed them again due to their lack of connectability...

Everybody seems to luv Apple - iPad - Macbook etc.
Why?
I "smell" that Apple places a premium on the word "Apple" & their avatar - an apple - from Abbey Rd?
What is "wrong" with the "new" Samsung Tab S - 10.5"? I have researched the 'net. They say - Apple in a photo finish.
Price -
Apple - I have no idea.
Samsung - B19900 - RRP.
Wife & I both have Samsung telephones.

what's the keyboard button for a hard refresh ? (ie F5 in windows)

Fn F5 does not work. (for Chrome)
I can click using the mouse and button, but I prefer to use keyboard short cuts where ever possible.
Does 'Command+R' work?
If not, there's a workaround...
1. Launch "System Preferences"
2. Click the "Keyboard & Mouse" icon
3. Select "Keyboard Shortcuts" tab
4. Hit the little "+" button under the main white area
5. In the little pup-up window select "Google Chrome" as the application
6. Type in "Reload This Page" in the "Menu Title" field exactly as it appears in the Chrome's View menu (no quotes of course)
7. Click inside the "Keyboard Shortcut" field and hit F5 key (or any desired combination)
8. Restart Chrome to make it work,
9. Na khrap....
Thanks. Green sent ans I'll try late.

I hate Apple.
I'm thinking of buying a Mac laptop because I hate Microsoft more. But, iTunes keeps me away...
Then don't use iTunes.Originally Posted by Bettyboo
