New Android phones with no SD card option

in the past all my Android mobile phones had a micro SD memory card option, where I would move any apps I downloaded to the SD card to free up the phones memory , I would all so some times remove the SD card and transfer photos to my computer rather that using a usb cable .

Now I'm looking at buying a new Android mobile phone but most of the models I find to have the specification I want , but don't include the micro SD memory card option, but do include a decent internal ROM size ( 16GB ) .

I'm just wondering what I would really miss about not having a micro SD memory card option , so my question is this , does your android mobile phone have a micro SD memory card option, and would you buy a new mobile phone without that SD card option , can / could you do with out the SD card option or is it a must have thing , if so why ? .

Ive never really used the cloud , I'm trying to think of the advantages and disadvantages of a SD card option on a new phone, it seems that not having this SD card option is showing up more and more on new mobile phones .

Pro's for having a SD card

1. expanding the phones storage memory
2. transferring apps to the SD card
3. being able to remove the SD card and transfer its contents to another device
4. not reliant on a USB cable to transfer content
4. you can backup the phone and keep a physical copy of all of your important files

The reason is that Google tried to push their cloud option and force the manufacturers using Android to not put microSD cards in their phones. But, that has been a failure... Samsung, Sony and LG always stuck with a microSD card. &, the HTC One, which has been regarded as the best phone, has just come out with an update which has a microSD card slot - HTC said that many potential buyers bought something else because of the lack od microSD card.

You can get a phone with, say, 16bg of storage, then whack in a cheap 32gb/64gb microSD card - easy as pie (that's what I have), and much cheaper than buying a 32gb/64gb phone...

apps can be stored on the microSD on the newest versions of Android. Transfering content is easy, but I just keep all my music and stuff on the microSD.

Never liked Dropbox. Not saying it's bad, just never found it comfortable personally.

My crappy Samsung has 64gb of internal memory plus it accepts an sd card.

I still prefer to upload everything though.

I was one of the first apple phone users, then moved to an area with no cell coverage. Got out of the habit and now my iPhone 4 sits in a locker have a cheap throw away pay as you go phone for phone and text.

Funny loved using the thing in the day. Mind you I have an iPad. But never bothered putting a phone card in it. Saved about $4000 dollars. Just saying like.
