Turning win 8 laptop into a hotspot...

Just arrived in Korea and there's a nice LAN connection in my apartment: 92mps upload, 94mps download...

But, the bloody phone is a different thing altogether, nobody wants to sort me out a SIM for it. But, I do use it at the wifi cafes. I'd also like to use it at home - could anybody suggest a way they've successfully created a wife hotspot from their laptop to the mobile, please.

I've tried a few and they've turned out to be malware/rubbish...

I used to use connectify, worked well.

If you have lan, you should get away with the free version.

Should add, depending on your circuitry and chip versions, you may be able to do it with just some command line instructions.
Google for details. There are a few out there but when i needed it my old laptop wasnt up to the task.
