All the flagships come out at a price that's 150-200 pounds more than they're worth - that's why phones like the Samsung s3 (I don't personally like the plasticness, but it's a good phone) and xperia z are good value; they have virtually all the features of the current flagship (more so in the Sony's case) but are 200 pounds+ cheaper...

The new Motorola and Nexus are good value for money, but Google are trying to force you into the cloud, so both lack micro-SD support. I reckon you need 32gb to be safe; but 16gb is just not enough - I have virtually that in music and pictures, never mind videos and other apps...

Apple are very expensive. The i4s should be 10,000 baht or less; the technology is very old. An iPhone 5 32gb at 15,000 baht would be fine - but they don't sell them anymore. At 24,000 baht you could get hold of the shite plastic iTard, 5c, it's even more expensive and it's the same technology as the 5 but with cheaper everything - what a total ripoff... The iTard 5s is good, but how much is a 32gb one? Maybe 28,000 baht??? Crazy... Rant over.

Back on topic. A 4s in Thailand is 15,000 baht for an 8gb phone, no storage increase options! Sorry, Dil, that's just a no go, and I can't even see a 16gb option, never mind a 32gb option...
    iPhone 4s - Buy 8GB iPhone 4s unlocked - Apple Store (Thailand)

Do, get a 32gb nexus at 15,500 baht is a great phone; but not easy to get in Thailand - if you don't want another Sony, then that'd be the one to go for, imho.

    How very dare you...

Show me an Android for 15,000 baht, that can take the same photos, be on the latest operating system, earn the same kudos with your average ladyboy and smash into 500 pieces when you drop it while trying to avoid giving your credit card details to Apple???

You can bleat all you want Booboo, but the sales speak for themselves.

Last quarter: Samsung: 80 Million phones; Sony: <10 million.

Even your beloved Punani phone can't stop them.

Massive sales of the Toyota Corlloa, much smaller sales of the BMW M5, but I know which I'd rather own... Massive sales of MaccaD, not some many customers at Chez Nice, but I know where I'd rather eat my lunch... Lots of people have been inside (and been insided by) Emma, not so many have been inside a 25 year old Monica Bellucci, but I'd know who I'd rather...

Actually comparing the two is like comparing your crappy M5 with my S65 AMG.

Leave some money for a tutu and a boob tube. You might as well go the whole hog.

OK step aside ladies, please. I spent all of last Saturday afternoon in mobile phone shops following which I am now the proud owner of a Z10 and madam is ecstatic to be the owner of an iPhone 5s.

The Z10 is currently cheap as chips due to the current highly publicised difficulties the company is experiencing. If you are interested in value for money this phone is screaming at you. I will write more about it shortly on a fresh thread.

Madam just had to buy the iPhone 5s because, well, every Thai who is anybody has one. This is the phone that says you are "something". Broke. ThB 27,500 for a phone that frankly seems no better than the Blackberry.

For the staggering amount of time we were in the shop setting this thing up I amused myself searching for Bluetooth devices/I could link to and there are a few puzzled individuals wondering who sent them a picture of a pigeon. His name is Albert.

During this time a Thai gentleman arrived after having bought a Galaxy s3 a week before. He was far from happy because it wasn't an iPhone 5s which everyone knew was the best phone in the whole world and he must now have one. It seems his s3 wasn't as good because it didn't have iPhone 5s written on it. The sound apparently kept cutting out mid call...difficult to prove, I know.

From what I can see from a value for money viewpoint it is the Blackberry if you can still get one cheap, orthe Experia once Blackberry have sold out. I have still seen one shop advertising them at ThB 20,900. After that, if the owner is going to be a Thai, then it is the iPhone, but with the market flooded as it is I suggest waiting for the next victim to descend to under ThB 10,000 and snap it up.
I see fish. They are everywhere. They don't know they are fish.

    Socal + Fishy +Dilly

    quite the threesome...

I agree with Fishy. If I was buying a new phone now then I'd get the BBz10 because it is very good value and it has a z in the name.

A great price 10k for the blackberry, I never really looked at that one. I've ordered the 4s today too now, I have a daughter who keeps pestering me to go on that facetime of which there's no PC version, so that was one of the big factors.
