Why would anyone want a car like that in Thailand? A good target for accidents.

A second hand BMW 6 is the car for East European drug dealers and pimps that are having a lean year and cant quite afford the Aston Martin or Bentley.

In the UK that car would sell for about 1 to 1.5 million baht to a retired market trader or plumber.

Thanks for the responses, and a little laugh
To clarify some things, the car has not been in accidents and interested buyer will get all the info he/she requires.
The badge is a present from a good friend and unfortunately does not come with the car.
The car's performance is outrageous and is actually a lot safer than many of the cars here due to stability controls that don't allow it to drift off when doing sharp turns at high speed.

I love cars. Went to Silverstone once but spent most of the time wandering around the car parks where practically any and every motor you ever lusted after was represented. Better than most motor shows it was. Women there were pretty splendid too but ultimately of secondary interest.

Now, I have to say, that here in Thailand, particularly,I just don't give a damn about what I'm in. It has to be the most redundant place for motoring in the world beyond the necessity of getting from A to B.The roads, cambers and bends are an utter disaster compounded by the worst drivers on the planet negotiating their way in an incoherent and stupidly reckless manner that typifies their idiocy elsewhere in society.

I honestly cannot understand why anyone would want anything like that Beamer here other than as a status symbol. And that's my point. The ostentatious Asian preoccupation with their face and position in society is so repulsive and such an emetic to anyone of any refinement that no one in their right mind would wish to be associated with it.

I don't mean to offend but honestly, why would one wish to spend a ludicrously stupid amount of money on a car which is utterly disproportionate to its true value and no more practical than a black patent leather codpiece?

The older ones are quite affordable in aussie now. Down as low as 30k.

The deal-breaker about them too is that they can be had in manual.

An SL or an XK is only available in Auto.

They look spanky nice in M livery in a dark colour. All the shiny chrome is replaced by body matched stealth mode bits.
