^I'm shushocked as well.
@shutree - I'm viewing this with a very matter-of-fact face. I think it boils down to finances & dependency.
To be a "mistress" implies that she's dependent on you financially - that you're supporting her lifestyle, paying for her home/ apartment/ food & other living expenses. In return, she keeps house, cooks for you, provides s*x, etc.
In a FWB situation, she's not financially dependent on you. She has her own life/ lodgings/ job, etc. You just meet each other (maybe occasionally) for s*x, conversation, etc. Then you go your separate ways. Sure you may pay for the meal/ drinks/ hotel, etc but you have your own separate lives.
At least that's how I understand it, and how it was in the film "Friends with Benefits" starring Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake (I watched a pirated copy, lol). There was also a similar movie which came out almost at the same time, starring Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher, "No Strings Attached" . Hollywood sometimes does things in twos.
If Ms Shanghai leads her own life in China, then she's more of a FWB than a mistress. And yes, that's the PC term for it.![]()
Never mix cooking and house keeping duties with mistress duties. Otherwise you just end up with an expensive maid who wants to upgrade.
