Might play around with £100 since I got unlimited flight wifi for £8. Not bad really.
BTW the article Iceman posted isn't dated, so I assume it's since you opened one:
Due to regulatory requirements and business decisions based on risk management considerations, we can no longer offer the eToro investment platform to new users in the following countries:

Maybe one of those ultra high net worth income earners will bob up and give us a few tips how it's done? Eh . Don't need advice on dating or who to marry though

Can't go wrong.

Stay in your lane fatty, no need to screw up another thread.
Been a fairly shitty week yet they're still raising target prices to $175 and talking about a four trillion dollar value by year end.
While I fully agree that AI chip makers like Nvidia are on the fast track I do not believe they will be a 4 trillion dollar a year cap company. That is all market hype to pull in more investors Their PE ratio will tell the tale. I do however think that at ~$125 a share it is good buy if you can buy a nice chunk . There really is no upside if you can only buy 100 or so shares unless you plan on holding it for 10 years or so. If you can pony enough to buy 1000 shares, the ROI could be good.
My 2 baht worth.
Better sell your 25 shares real soon then.
It's been a turbulent month but I'm going to stick until the August numbers.
I fucking hope they don't tank.
Nvdia appears to be the only game in town when it comes to AI
AI is the new kid on the block and I would wager has a long way to go.
Think of it like this, there are many wars going on and they are the only ones who can supply the bullets.
I wish I had got in earlier, however I have a substantial position now with a view to adding to this in the event of any decent pullbacks.

SINGAPORE, July 22 (Reuters) - Nvidia is working on a version of its new flagship AI chips for the China market that would be compatible with current U.S. export controls, four sources familiar with the matter said.
The AI chip giant in March unveiled its "Blackwell" chip series, which is due to be mass-produced later in the year. The new processors combine two squares of silicon the size of the company's previous offering. Within the series, the B200 is 30 times speedier than its predecessor at some tasks like serving up answers from chatbots.
Nvidia will work with Inspur, one of its major distributor partners in China, on the launch and distribution of the chip which is tentatively named the "B20", two of the sources said. Shipments of the "B20" are planned to start in the second quarter of 2025, a separate source told Reuters.
The sources declined to be identified as Nvidia has yet to make a public announcement.
A spokesperson for Nvidia declined to comment. Inspur did not respond to requests for comment.

Do you "Dabble in stocks" Molle?
That's a typical rebound HB as the entire NASDAQ tech sector went back to green. The market appears to be a bit volatile and in a slight correction. So many variables impact it daily. Unless you are day trading or have a stop in place, check it once a week or so or you will be on an emotional rollercoaster ride. One day pounding your chest claiming victory, the next day crying wondering if you should sell. Its down $12ish since the split price. Long term it will still be a very profitable stock. $123 COB is good buy if you want to toss out some big cash.
Anyway, good luck.
Yeah it could be fun ride. I follow it only because Nvidia is part of the big 7 and I have Amazon. Rivian was a pure risk buy and I have a sell in for half at $21 a share so then it's all house money at that point and I will just let it ride.
One stock I kick myself in the ass was not buying Netflix back about 2012 period. It was about $40 or so IIRC and now is $650+. The Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda deal.
Equally you could have sunk $26k into Blockbuster.
I remember that business DW and them popping up everywhere. Was a big craze for awhile. I never joined or rented movies but do vaguely remember it going belly up and people lost some big money.
Stocks aren't for everyone, that's for sure. You really have to do your market research and moreover decide what you want out of your investment.
In Netflix's early days they offered to sell it to Blockbuster for 50 mil. and we're turned down. Blockbuster went tits up shortly after.

US chip giant Nvidia is developing a new version of its Blackwell chip series specifically for the Chinese market so the tech firm can adhere to US export rules while still profiting from China's computing market, Reuters reports, citing three anonymous sources familiar with the plans.
The new AI offering for China is dubbed the B20 for now, but it's unclear if that will be the final name of the product. The B20 could be a less-powerful version of its B200 chip announced earlier this year. Nvidia is working with the Chinese firm Inspur to launch the chip, according to the report. An Nvidia spokesperson declined to comment.
Nvidia previously designed the L20 PCIe, the L2 PCIe, and the HGX H20 chips for the Chinese market to adhere to US export rules. In 2022, the US barred the sale and shipment of advanced AI chips to China. Nvidia has repeatedly expressed that it's following the rules, but US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo isn't happy the company keeps redesigning its AI chips so it can sell altered versions to China.
"If you redesign a chip around a particular cutline that enables them to do AI, I’m going to control it the very next day," Raimondo said in December, adding: "Protecting our national security matters more than short-term revenue."
But there are plenty of loopholes China-based buyers can exploit to get around the US rules and gain access to the restricted chips anyway. Chinese companies can use the hardware virtually by renting it via Microsoft and Google cloud servers. Others are reportedly bringing the restricted hardware into China via another country where such export rules don't exist. And some server products containing the advanced chips are still making it to China as well.
