I'm looking for a shop in Bangkok that sells European-made 100% wool flat caps (see the picture for an example of what I'm looking for). Anyone know of such a place?

Have you looked on https://www.lazada.co.th/catalog/?q=...6f9f3337IpaWEO
thank god there is someone out there apparently willing to ditch the awful american baseball cap, worn backwards sideways upside down, beloved more by non yanks than yanks, a sure sign of the wearers low social status and sartorial ignorance, and inexplicably festooned with badges declaring ones supposed allegiance to nike, michelob beer, chevrolet motor cars, new york, or worst of all, texas. have people no shame.
long live the flat cap, available in a variety of fabrics and colours, they mark the wearer out as a man of taste. they can be worn in traditional yorkshire style, with a rictus like grimace and pulled down tight to fight the wind, rain and sleet, or they can be worn at a jaunty angle to reflect the wearers individuality.
it's an old people hat, isn't it? you need to be 60 or above to wear that
Is is a Peaky Blinders cap?
@prawnograph: Poor Victor, I never knew he faked his death to become a hatter in Bangkok.
@Pragmatic: Thanks for trying, but I clearly wrote "European-made". Thus, that excludes what I am nearly positive is the Chinese-made hat you have linked to.
@taxexile: As I am an American, I do have a baseball cap as well, of course.
@Dragonfly: I am almost 55, and have been wearing flat caps for about 20 years, so I guess my fashion sense simply grew old prematurely.
I have a couple of Kangol and a Country Club which I last wore 20-30 years ago, not quite Peaky standard, the CC has sentimental value but I could raid the dustbox for a Kangol if any use to you.
Would post pics but that involves taking the pic, email to self, download/save, copy/paste...waiting for tech to come up with a more efficient system.
There are some pastures outside Bangkok where they grow naturally.
Try on a few....you will be pleasantly surprised at how warm they feel. Then dry one out well, and trim to size.

Probably best to buy on-line. A selection from Amazon UK:

There is a branch of Zara in Paragon, Siam Square, but your insistence that the cap must be made in Europe makes a difficult task well nigh impossible.

Avec sweatband u'neath.
Oh and i'm not 60. Yet.
Seen quite nice wool ones, but not made in Europe in Phnom Phen marketplaces.
Best bet if you insist on British/Euro made is Ebay.
Any young lad in England that wears a flat cap is either a cockney or a twat.
Or maybe both.
I like the hat that has the big rim to keep the sun off my shoulders. Green or camouflage are popular. They have a face shield that tucks up under the hat or snaps along one side.
I brought a bunch back last trip. They are great for bow hunting here.
I find them at every market in Laos. I get stacks of them for a buck eighty each and give them as X-mass gifts to the farmers in our area.
