Listened to it a few times and all I remember is it sounding very flat and that stupid snare drum. I didnt mind some of the songs but that doesnt say much, gimme Death over it anyday.

Have you heard Demo Magnetic? It's the demo CD for Death Magnetic, the sound quality is pretty good & raw. I like it better than the final product.

Listening to it now and I'm finding that is feel less energetic and a bit sluggish compared to DM.
