    Vivian Campbell

Some vids of Vivian Campbell to follow.

I always thought his solos were emotional, had power, and were special. My first listening of Campbell was when he played in Ronnie James Dio, which was likely in 1983.

This video of his solo instrumental cut, is likely from the early 80s, from the way he looks.

    Vivian, Rocks.

One of my favorite guitar solos from Vivian Campbell comes from the song "Last in Line" from the album of the same name, "Last in Line."

Maybe this should be a 'Dio" thread?

    Oh well.

    Here is the song:

Dio must be one of the only rock stars that's married to a woman in her 60's.

    ,

Dio, himself - NOW - has got to be at least 60.

I saw some recent concerts on YT that I'll post soon.

In the 80s he was likely in his 40s. Yes, his wife was older.

I don't think Ronnie James Dio has made an album in what? 10 years?

I remember "Heaven & Hell" w/ Black Sabbath. 1980, right? Classic album, IMO.

    Marmers, no sh*t?

    I do, believe you.

    Hope you elaborate.

I really loved - and still love - the first "Dio" album, and the follow up "Last in Line" and also..."Dream Evil?"

That was a good album, IMO. But after 'dream evil' I didn't follow.

Dio's Sabbath is the best version for me. Heaven & Hell and Mob Rules are superb albums.

Again, the first 2 Dio albums are the only ones I listen too. Just a shame about the 'light' production on them.

The early 80s was really the heyday for metal. I think I'm going to do best metal album thread for the years 1980 to 1989.
You cannae live wiv 'em and ye cannae fucking shoot 'em

    Yes, Marmers,

Heaven & Hell, I consider, Classic Status.

Yes, I loved Dio's first 2. I agree on the light production.

Great thread you started. I'm thinking of ideas, right now.
