    Modern American Country Music

I used to hate that old fashioned style of Country.. you know, twangy, cringe-worthy cartoonish shite...

However, I have recently found it infused in top 20 billboard music albums without knowing it was "country"...

Anyway... long story short, it's brilliant IMHO the only music that feels alive - just pretend it's not Country if it fucks with your mind..

So, if you dig Country, who is your favorite artist? songs, etc...

And if you say it's gay, you should stop sucking dick flavored lolliops as your obvious desire for men has twisted your gay, shrill, little turd of a mind lol.

I used to hate country music till I found JJ Cale's music. And I love his early stuff. He did about 5 or 6 top-notch early albums. Strictly speaking, it's the "Tulsa sound" (Tulsa, Oklahoma) rather than straight country. Though famous, he was a very underrated muso.

There's no need for these insults, Stoker! can we please stop these homophobic comments!

Nick is a good guy; a real man's man.

&, like many Kiwi men, Breakbottom Mountain offered him both a much longed for modern day alternative to the macho Kiwi wife-beating culture and a beckoning introduction to an alternative lifestyle that includes great country music. It's little wonder that the combination proved irresistible.

Good on you, Nick. Ignore these unpleasant posters, put on that wonderfully vibrant rainbow coloured T-shirt and sing your heart out to those country mountains and the friendships that can be forged amongst them while playing great country music.

& remember, Nick: real country boys do it bareback!

    Cycling should be banned!!!

Looper, where art thou? ... NZdick is in need of some serious psychotherapy and seems to have some sort of infatuation with gay people.

Sorry Humbert, but he didn't do anything for me. Sounded rather like Dylan, and brought down my mood.

It's not Country, but just for your auditory pleasure, I give you Velas :

The bright guitar was typical of Cale, less heavy than his great admirer Clapton

Never into or liked in any way Country music, until I found myself working in Texas in 1999. Couldn't go into any bar in Houston without the background of what was very popular contemporary Country, usually provided by Shania Twain, The Dixie Chicks, or Tim McGraw.

Definitely grows on you, and occasionally still download Country music, in fact probably my most played album of 2015 is Sam Hunt's 'Montevallo'. Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town and Darius Rucker also figure often when I'm driving, as do Toby Keith and Garth Brooks.
