TV using sat dish and adsl

This was offered to me by my local satelite dish vendor and with his limited english, he had a hard time explaining the 'mechanics' of it, but did manage to get the message thru that it would cost 300baht/mo and would enable me to view ubc and more.

I have a 7foot movable dish and dream 500 box and out of that another box [newshine]........what additional hardware would I need??
could anyone explain the system [in english that a low tech person can understand]
