    Am I owned?

Each time I reboot my desktop is entirely filled with dozens of font icons, and sometimes overlapping to off the desktop. When I delete them, sometimes they reappear.

    Virus checks come back clean.

    Am I owned?

You shouldn't browse these Russian ultra extreme sites, mate, that's what happens.

If it looks like this I'd suspect the gf of accessorizing.

They look like font file icons, I didn't have the foresight to write some down so will find out next time I reboot. Each icon is named "copy of xxxxx"....Ok, as I was typing this idea came to me, checked my Doc&Settings/Deskpot and there they were, more than 200 files that didn't belong, not just font but also IE urls I had visited, dunno how they got there but they're well shredded and back to squared one but a bit more confident for the next reboot...just hope whatever it was doesn't restore them from a safehouse. Dammit can't wait, am going to reboot now.

Ok, the bulk of them are gone, just a few stragglers (not 'copy of...') that are np but can be worked on. Wondering how it happened though.

Many tx, and hope they stay gone.

Yes but never both running at the same time...also noticed cannot access my IE homepage though I can with Firefox, and strangely enough vice versa.

Sometimes they run even when you think they're not. Remove one of them.

Running smooth now, but done anyway seeing as one of them is almost never used anyway.
